Caring for wraps

You can use your wraps several times unless they become soiled, and you may find that a hand wash and hang dry will be sufficient to clean them some of the time, especially if only wet.

Most wraps (with the exception of fleece wraps) are fine to be washed at 60ºc with your nappies. However, if your wraps need to be washed at a different temperature to your nappies you can put them in with ordinary colour-fast washing on a 40ºC (but remember not to use fabric conditioner). Always do up the velcro before washing this prevent them sticking or damaging other items. Some wraps can be tumble-dried and some can't, although they will all hang dry very quickly. Hang drying will also prolong the life of the wrap. However, the occasional drying of PUL wraps in a tumble dryer (on low a heat) will help maintain their ability to stay waterproof.

See the care section at the bottom of each nappy/wrap page for manufacturers washing recommendations.

Do not dry wraps directly on a radiator or similar heat source as they may be damaged.  No need to tumble-dry your wraps – they will dry quickly on an airier.
